A statement on national lockdown

3 November 2020

A message from Catrin Diamantino, Chief Executive:

You will no doubt be aware of the latest government announcement proposing a temporary lockdown in England, starting this Thursday 5 November for four weeks. We understand that you will be wondering how this will affect our schools.

We want to reassure you that we remain open for face-to-face lessons at Bell Cambridge and Bell London, and continue to deliver high-quality education to students, subject to all the safety provisions that we already have in place.

Bell also offers a full suite of online courses, enabling us to share expertise and support students and teacher trainees in the wider global community.

Providing our students with a safe and supportive environment has always been our top priority. We follow the latest public health guidance to ensure we are implementing all the necessary measures that make our schools secure – and we are keeping our response under constant review.

The ongoing impact of COVID-19 on all our lives, and the uncertainty it creates, is naturally concerning for many within our Bell community. We would like to reassure you that Bell is well-placed to respond as the situation evolves and will keep you updated if any changes are made.

Most importantly, we remain committed to serving our students and community now, and beyond the pandemic.

If you have any queries, we are here to help as much as we can. Please contact your regional education advisor or email us at enquiries@bellenglish.com.
